USA Fixed Broadband Experience Report November 2022
In this first Opensignal analysis of the fixed broadband experience in the U.S. we have analyzed our users’ real-world experience across six different measures: Broadband Success Rate, Broadband Consistent Quality, Broadband Video Experience, Broadband Download Speed, Broadband Peak Download Speed and Broadband Upload Speed.
How mobile network experience affects churn in US wireless carriers
Opensignal data demonstrates there is a strong correlation between users that saw more time spent without cellular signal and relatively worse 5G Availability and those users that switched carrier. When we compare the multiplayer gaming experience of Leavers, we see a large difference for T-Mobile, but smaller ones for AT&T and Verizon. On average download speed, both T-Mobile and AT&T Leavers saw significantly slower speeds than the all user average.

In this new analysis, we found that our users on Verizon’s network enjoyed the fastest 5G speeds, and the best 5G and overall gaming and voice app experience However, T-Mobile users connected to 5G services for the highest amount of time at the 30 NFL stadiums and users on T-Mobile’s network saw the highest average overall Download Speed Experience.
