Our users in the Philippines observe their best experience in terms of 4G download speeds, latency and video streaming in the early hours of the morning, but both Smart and Globe have engineered their networks to the point that our users can rely on mobile connections even during the busiest times of the day for most tasks.
Smart widens the gap on 4G Availability, but both operators’ scores have increased for this measure of the mobile experience.
The mobile network experience across five regions in the Philippines has greatly improved since Q4 2018
Opensignal has investigated the mobile network experience of its users across five regions (Mindanao, the National Capital Region — NCR, North & Central Luzon, South Luzon and the Visayas).
The Video Experience and Latency Experience observed by our users in the Philippines improved by 29.5% and 19.6%, respectively, between Q3 2018 and Q1 2020.
