Global Mobile Network Experience Awards 2020
For the very first time Opensignal is providing a comprehensive comparison of mobile network experience globally at the operator-level across five key measures of mobile network experience.
Qatar, April 2020, Mobile Experience report
Ooredoo recorded an impressive 10 points improvement (on a 100-point scale) in Video Experience since our last report, which pushed the operator into the Excellent category (75-100) with a score of 76.3, up from 66.3 points in November 2019.
Mobile Experience during the COVID-19 pandemic: 4G Download Speed
Globally, operators report mobile data use is increasing dramatically but Opensignal’s analytics demonstrate that despite these challenges the mobile experience is holding up well. Opensignal has seen only relatively small changes in users’ 4G Download Speeds in some countries, and none at all in other countries.
The State of Mobile Video Experience 2019
In one year mobile Video Experience has significantly improved in 59% of 100 countries analyzed. But the U.S. is lagging behind on mobile video as carriers face a spectrum crunch. Uniquely, Opensignal tests mobile video streaming at scale and does not estimate video experience based on speed tests or other indirect measurements.
