The State of Group Video Calling Experience – Europe, Middle East and Africa
Opensignal has analyzed 30 countries in Europe and 18 in the Middle East and Africa in our first mobile Group Video Calling Experience report for the MENA region. In Europe, the Netherlands turned out to be the unchallenged winner, with an astounding score of 92.4 points.
Analyzing download speeds in business locations
Opensignal analyzed smartphone users’ average download speed across business locations in Australia, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan and the U.S.

While most Opensignal awards featured the same winner as in the last report, this time Vodafone made the news by winning the Video Experience award after ranking in second-place in the last report.
Benchmarking the Global 5G Experience – April 2021
Cities have a significantly better 5G experience than the national 5G results. For example, users in the city of Jeonju in South Korea have a 5G Download Speed of 415.6 Mbps which is 15% faster than South Korea's overall result.

Last year, to celebrate Opensignal’s 10th anniversary, we ranked the world's operators using our leading measures of the real-world mobile network experience. It was so well received that we’ve chosen to publish the awards again.
How Italy’s mobile data surge during 2020 affected mobile experience
Opensignal analyzed Italian smartphone users’ monthly average mobile data consumption and Download Speed Experience across the four national operators in 2020. We found that users on all mobile networks experienced a similar pattern where Download Speed Experience temporarily decreased as mobile data consumption surged.

5G is still near the beginning of its decade-long era. No mobile technology stands still, so we must continue to analyze the real-world experience and see how it changes and improves.
