Saudi Arabia, May 2023, Mobile Network Experience
In Opensignal's latest Mobile Network Experience report for Saudi Arabia, Saudi Telecom Company (stc) dominates as the outright winner for overall experience, 5G experience, and consistency — it is the outright winner of all 12 awards across those categories — and jointly wins all three coverage awards. Users on all three national networks in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia see average 5G download speeds in excess of 200Mbps.
Poor connectivity damages the mobile app business
With poor mobile connectivity, users spend 20% less time in each app session while with poor Wi-Fi it’s an even greater 38% less time. After seven days, app retention rates are 49% lower for users that have seen consistently poor connectivity.
How Ramadan affects mobile network experience
In this Opensignal analysis we look at how the change in behavior during the month of Ramadan affects the mobile experience in five countries with large Muslim populations.
