Across these 15 countries analyzed, users see 5G download speeds that are 5 to 6 times faster than 4G. In every country 5G is much faster than 4G.
The U.S. is one of the leading 5G markets globally with users on different U.S. operators enjoying extremely fast 5G speeds or sizable amounts of time connected to 5G technology.

The increasing population density in urban centers has created a digital divide between thinly and densely populated areas. Opensignal measured our users’ experience across Malaysia and found that a connectivity gap exists between sparsely populated rural areas and densely populated urban areas.
In our latest analysis of our Italian users’ mobile network experience, it would seem like the balance of power between the operators is shifting. From dominating our awards table with four wins in our last report, TIM now just wins two awards outright, being held to a draw in three others.
Opensignal has analyzed the experience of our users across Singtel group’s mobile operator subsidiaries and regional associates. We found that while there is a big gap between Singtel's wholly-owned entities in Singapore and Australia (Optus) and the rest in Download Speed Experience, the gap was narrower for both Voice App Experience and Video Experience.
Opensignal analyzed our users’ mobile experience in the urban and rural areas of the Philippines. We found that our rural users on average experienced 14 percentage points lower 4G Availability than their peers in the urban areas, which dramatically influenced their Download Speed Experience, with rural users having to rely more on 3G networks.
