Last year, to celebrate Opensignal’s 10th anniversary, we ranked the world's operators using our leading measures of the real-world mobile network experience. It was so well received that we’ve chosen to publish the awards again.
Mobile experience explains why Germany’s users change mobile operators
Opensignal has analyzed the mobile experience of smartphone users who changed mobile network operators in Germany. We found that our users who changed their mobile service provider on average had a worse mobile experience before they switched compared to the typical experience on their original network.
Benchmarking the global 5G user experience – December update
Across these 15 countries analyzed, users see 5G download speeds that are 5 to 6 times faster than 4G. In every country 5G is much faster than 4G.

5G users on average consume up to 2.7x more mobile data compared to 4G users
Opensignal has analyzed our 5G smartphone users' average mobile data consumption in six leading 5G countries and found that in the month of September 2020, on average, they consumed up to 2.7 times more mobile data compared to 4G users.
