Mapping Italy's network congestion - Naples and Palermo lead in speed declines
In this analysis we have measured the degree of congestion in 21 cities by comparing the network experience during the busiest hours of the day (18:00 - 23:59), compared to that during the morning (06:00 - 11:59) when networks are relatively uncongested and not affected by power-saving measures employed by Italian network operators at night.
Egyptians have a better experience in Cairo compared to the rest of the country
In this new Opensignal analysis we have looked at our users’ mobile experience both in Cairo and throughout the rest of Egypt. Comparing the two, users in Cairo enjoy a quicker experience, better experience streaming video and users connect to 4G networks considerably more in the Capital.
African smartphone users see a diverse mobile experience across the continent
In this analysis, Opensignal looks at the experience of smartphone users across the 15 markets in Africa with the highest numbers of unique mobile subscribers, according to GSMA Intelligence. Opensignal users in South Africa enjoy the fastest download speeds and the most consistent quality of mobile services in Africa, while also connecting to 4G and 5G services for the highest proportion of time.
