Posted: Apr 19, 2018

Over the past year or so, unlimited data has really taken off in the U.S., with all four of the big players launching competitive plans to try to get a bigger piece of the market. But just because consumers are eating up more data via cellular, it doesn't mean they've stopped using Wifi – although we're seeing signs they're moderating their usage. Posted: Apr 05, 2018

The Indian city of Patna, once known as Pataliputra, is one of the oldest continuously inhabited places in the world, and was once a capital on ancient India. History isn't the only thing Patna should be proud of. Patna is currently top of OpenSignal's league table for 4G availability. Imagine a World

Posted: Mar 21, 2018

We started Opensignal eight years ago with a simple idea: The world needs access to independent and accurate data on mobile coverage and connectivity. Back then, if you wanted to find out which mobile provider would offer you the best service, the only option you had was to walk into one of the provider’s stores and ask. This experience usually involved seeing an overly optimistic network coverage map and very positive reassurance from the salesperson. Yet, we would never accept this situation in other parts of our lives.

Europe’s 4G speeds rise while the rest of the world stalls

Posted: Feb 20, 2018

While much of the world witnessed a stall in 4G speeds in 2017, Europe managed to provide faster download speeds to users than ever before.
