Poor connectivity damages the mobile app business
With poor mobile connectivity, users spend 20% less time in each app session while with poor Wi-Fi it’s an even greater 38% less time. After seven days, app retention rates are 49% lower for users that have seen consistently poor connectivity.

In the fourth Global Mobile Network Experience Awards report, Opensignal once again directly compares operators from around the world to recognize those on which our users had the best mobile experience. We have added two more measures of the mobile experience: Excellent Consistent Quality and Core Consistent Quality.
Satellite services will help with no mobile signal areas in Germany
Opensignal has analyzed how much time our users spent with no signal across all 401 German districts. We observed that in several districts in southern Germany, our users spent more than 2% of the time with no signal — with a higher percentage of rural communities hitting this mark than the urban ones.

Telekom continues to dominate the awards table and has increased its award haul by one outright win, as it snatched Availability away from O2. Telekom now has 12 sole victories and one joint win, up from 11 outright wins and one joint award in the previous report. Vodafone retains Games Experience and Voice App Experience as the sole winner.
