There’s more!

We’re proud to see members of our independent analyst team called forward to judge two categories for the prestigious Global Mobile Awards 2023: Ian Fogg, our VP Analysis is judging submissions for the Best Network Software Breakthrough category and Robert Wyrzykowski, our senior analyst, for Best Mobile Network Infrastructure.

“I’m delighted and humbled to be a part of such an esteemed judging panel at this year’s GLOMO awards. Assessing the submissions in the category ‘Best Mobile Network Infrastructure’ it was a pleasure to see how players from across the mobile sector are finding more advanced, energy efficient and cost effective ways to operate mobile networks. Can’t wait to see the winners announced in Barcelona in a few weeks!” said Robert.

Additionally, our head of regulatory affairs, Ceri Howes, will be participating as an expert judge for the GLOMO Award category ‘Outstanding Mobile Contributions to the UN Sustainable Development Goals’.

Ceri will also be moderating the panel on spectrum roadmaps for the 6G future, diving into debates on 6G spectrum approaches, discussing capacity demands and ways in which we can fully realize the potential of 6G in the coming decade. Titled ‘Spectrum: Delivering a 6G Future’ , the session will take place on Wednesday, 1st March, 11:00-11:45  at Stage B Hall 6.

“I’ve been going to MWC for the last decade and this one is really shaping up to be an exciting one - it’s been such a pleasure to be involved across two quite different topics.” said Ceri. “There were a hugely impressive number of innovative applications for the SDG GLOMO award and all aimed to address some of the world’s biggest challenges through the power of mobile, which was incredibly inspiring. I’m also very much looking forward to meeting with leaders from government, industry and the wider mobile ecosystem, as we look ahead to the emergence of 6G use cases and the spectrum requirements that must be considered to support this technology.” she added.

It’s looking to be a busy few days, and we’re excited to connect with colleagues from around the world once more.
